IT Partnering / abela IT
From onboard infrastructure to everyday support, One Net designs, installs and manages your fleet’s IT. abela IT gives shore teams the visibility and remote tools to keep the work moving.
Build your IT planService benefits
Three connected benefits: visibility of your systems, remote maintenance suited to life at sea, and records that support your compliance work.
Review asset health, virtual machines, backup status and patch deployment from shore. Identify the systems that need attention.
Use bandwidth-aware remote access, scripts and scheduled updates to carry out the work around the vessel’s connection and operating windows.
Use inventories, patch records and IT policies to review completed work, track exceptions and support your team’s cyber-risk management.
Review findings feed back into monitoring and the next maintenance plan.
Delivery process
Hardware, deployment and support belong in the same plan. One Net stays involved across all five stages.
Meet the Zwana Nexus platformDesign
Assess servers, workstations and network requirements. Define an infrastructure baseline and the policies behind it.
Hardware
Bring computing, storage and networking together in a modular onboard platform that can grow with the vessel’s requirements.
Installation
Coordinate deployment through One Net’s global engineering network, with installation planned around vessel access and schedules.
Support & monitoring
Monitor devices centrally, investigate faults remotely and carry out maintenance through the agreed support model.
Ongoing engineering
Review recurring issues, infrastructure changes and the next engineering work needed as your fleet develops.
Inside the service
abela automate brings remote, centralised management to abela IT: monitoring, access and maintenance. Its central management tools give shore engineers a consistent way to discover devices, investigate issues and apply IT policies across the vessels in scope.
Network discovery keeps a record of installed hardware and software. Monitoring brings device health, changes and faults into the same working view, so maintenance can start with evidence from the vessel.
Engineers can adjust session quality for a limited satellite connection and work in the background where the task allows. Access permissions define which systems they can reach and what changes they may make.
Central patch management brings Microsoft operating-system updates, approvals and reboot policies into one process. Fleet and vessel views show deployment status, helping the team identify systems still awaiting attention.
The service can cover virtual-machine management, backup status and fleet IT policies alongside the physical estate. One Net reviews these responsibilities with the existing IT team rather than assuming that every system is included.
